The Six Sins against the Holy Spirit

பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்கு எதிரான ஆறு பாவங்களாவன:

1. கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தைப் பற்றிய (தவறான) எண்ணங்கள்.
2. மீட்பைப் பற்றிய அவநம்பிக்கை (நம்பிக்கையின்மை).
3. தெரிந்த உண்மையைப் பற்றிய தேவையில்லாத சர்ச்சை (விவாதம்).
(கடவுளைப் பற்றிய உண்மைகளைத் தவறெனக் கூறி எதிர்த்து நிற்பது).
4. மற்றவர்களின் ஆன்மீக வளர்ச்சியில் பொறாமை கொள்ளுதல்.
5. பாவத்திலேயே பிடிவாதமாக நிலைத்திருத்தல்.
6. குற்றத்தை உணர்ந்து வருந்தாத நிலைமை (தன்மை).

1. கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தைப் பற்றிய தவறான யூகம் (எண்ணங்கள்) – கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தைப் பற்றிய மனிதனின் தவறான கற்பனைகள்.

வேதம் சொல்லும் கடவுளுடைய கட்டளைகளை கடைப்பிடிக்காமல், கடவுளுக்குப் பயந்து, நன்மை செய்து வாழும் வாழ்க்கை வாழாமல், மனம்போன போக்கில் வாழ்ந்து விட்டு, நற்செயல்கள் எதுவும் செய்யாமல், கடவுளின் மீதுள்ள விசுவாசத்தினால் மட்டுமே, மீட்பு பெற்றுவிட முடியும் என்று முட்டாள்தனமான கடவுளின் மீட்பைப் பற்றிய நம்பிக்கை.

2. மீட்பைப் பற்றிய அவநம்பிக்கை (நம்பிக்கையின்மை)

கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தின் மீதும், வல்லமையின் மீதும் சந்தேகம் கொண்டு, கடவுள் நம்மை மீட்டுக் கொள்ளக் கூடிய வல்லமை அற்றவர் என சந்தேகம் கொள்வதே மீட்பைப் பற்றிய நம்பிக்கையின்மை.
யூதாசு, கடவுளின் மீட்பின் மீது சந்தேகங் கொண்டு பாவம் செய்தான் என்பதை, மத்தேயு 27:4,5 - ல் “மாசற்ற இரத்தத்தைக் காட்டிக் கொடுத்துப் பாவம் செய்தேன்” - எனக் கூறி, வெள்ளிக்காசுகளை ஆலயத்தில் எறிந்துவிட்டுப்போய் நான்று கொண்டான் - என வேதம் கூறுகிறது.

3. கடவுளைப் பற்றிய உண்மைகளைத் தவறெனக் கூறி எதிர்த்து நிற்பது.

நன்றாக தெரிந்த விசுவாச உண்மைகளை வேண்டும் என்றே ஏற்க மறுப்பது. கடவுளைப் பற்றி போதிக்கும் சிலர், எல்லா கடவுளும் ஒன்றுதான் என்று சொல்லுவார்கள். பேயே உலகத்தில் இல்லை என்பார்கள். கடவுளுடைய அருட்கொடைகளான நவபாசை, வியாக்கியானம் போன்றவற்றை ஏளனமாக பேசுவார்கள். சுய இன்பம் செய்வது, பெண்ணை இச்சையோடு பார்ப்பது போன்றவைகள் எல்லாம் பாவம் இல்லை என்று சொல்லுவார்கள். பிரிவினை சகோதரர்கள் சிலர், தேவ தாயை தூஷனமாக பேசுவார்கள். இவர்கள் தான் அந்திக்கிறிஸ்து.

ஏசாயா 45:5
நானே கர்த்தர், வேறொருவர் இல்லை; என்னைத்தவிரத் தேவன் இல்லை.

விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களால் நடக்கும் அடையாளங்களாவன: என் நாமத்தினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துவார்கள்; நவமான பாஷைகளைப் பேசுவார்கள்;

அநியாயக்காரர் தேவனுயைட ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரிப்பதில்லையென்று அறியீர்களா? வஞ்சிக்கப்படாதிருங்கள்; வேசிமார்க்கத்தாரும், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரரும், விபசாரக்காரரும், சுயபுணர்ச்சிக்காரரும், ஆண்புணர்ச்சிக்காரரும், திருடரும், பொருளாசைக்காரரும், வெறியரும், உதாசினரும், கொள்ளைக்காரரும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரிப்பதில்லை.

நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; ஒரு ஸ்திரீயை இச்சையோடு பார்க்கிற எவனும் தன் இருதயத்தில் அவளோடே விபசாரஞ்செய்தாயிற்று.

வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 12:5
சகல ஜாதிகளையும் இரும்புக்கோலால் ஆளுகைசெய்யும் ஆண்பிள்ளையை அவள் பெற்றாள்; அவளுடைய பிள்ளை தேவனிடத்திற்கும் அவருடைய சிங்காசனத்தினிடத்திற்கும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

4. மற்றவர்களின் ஆன்மீக வளர்ச்சியில் பொறாமை கொள்ளுதல்.

மற்றவர்கள் தனி வாழ்விலும், ஆன்மீகத்திலும் எவ்வித தடையுமின்றி ஒரு சீரான பாதையில், வளர்ச்சியை நோக்கி செல்லும்பொழுது, நாம் அதைப் பார்த்து வருத்தப்படுவது, பொறாமைப்படுவது; ஒருவர் ஆன்மீக வாழ்வில் வளரவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, நோன்பிருப்பது, யாத்திரை செல்வது, ஜெபம் செய்வது, தானம் செய்வது போன்ற ஒருத்தல் முயற்சிகள் செய்யும் பொழுது, நாம் அவ்வாறு செய்வதற்கு முடியாமல், அவர்கள் செய்வதைப் பார்த்து பொறாமை கொண்டு, அவர்கள் செய்யும் ஒருத்தல் முயற்சிகளை மூடநம்பிக்கை, முட்டாள்தனம் என்று சொல்வது.

5. பாவத்திலேயே பிடிவாதமாக நிலைத்திருத்தல்.

பாவங்களைப் பற்றிய அறிவைப் பெற்றிருந்தும், அவற்றை விட்டு விலகுவதற்கான வழிமுறைகளை தெறிந்திருந்தும், அவற்றை விடாமல், விடுவதற்கான எந்த முயற்சிகளையும் எடுக்காமல், மேலும் மேலும் பாவங்களைச் செய்து, அவற்றிலே மூழ்கி வாழ்வது.

எபிரெயர் 10:26,27
சத்தியத்தை அறியும் அறிவை அடைந்தபின்பு நாம் மனப்பூர்வமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால், பாவங்களினிமித்தம் செலுத்தத்தக்க வேறொருபலி இனியிராமல், நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வருமென்று பயத்தோடே எதிர்பார்க்குதலும், விரோதிகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் கோபாக்கினையுமே இருக்கும்.

6. குற்றத்தை (பாவங்களை) உணர்ந்து வருந்தாத நிலைமை (தன்மை).

பாவங்களை அறிந்தும், பாவங்கள் செய்வதை உணர்ந்தும், அதற்காக மனமார (நெஞ்சறிந்து) வருந்தாமலும், பாவஅறிக்கை செய்யாமலும் இறப்பவர்களை, அப். பணி 7:51 - “வணங்காக் கழுத்துள்ளவர்களே, இருதயத்திலும் செவிகளிலும் விருத்தசேதனம் பெறாதவர்களே, உங்கள் பிதாக்களைப்போல நீங்களும் பரிசுத்தஆவிக்கு எப்பொழுதும் எதிர்த்துநிற்கிறீர்கள்” – என்று கூறுகிறது. அத்தகையவர்கள், “தேவனை நோக்கி: எங்களைவிட்டு விலகியிரும், உம்முடைய வழிகளை அறிய விரும்போம்;” என சொல்வதாக, யோபு 21:14 - சொல்கிறது.

நம்முடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க முடியாத அளவுக்கு கடவுள் இரக்கம் அற்றவர் அல்ல. மாறாக, நாம் மனம் வருந்தி, பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகி, பாவ மன்னிப்பு கோரும் போது மன்னிக்கக்கூடிய தேவன் அவர்.

1 யோவான் 1:9 - நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால், பாவங்ளை நமக்கு மன்னித்து எல்லா அநியாயத்தையும் நீக்கி நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கு அவர் உண்மையும் நீதியும் உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்.

1. Presumption of God's mercy

A foolish confidence of salvation, without leading a good life, or any care to keep the Commandments; such as they entertain who think they will be saved by faith only, without good works.

2. Despair of salvation

It is a diffidence in the mercies and power of God as also, in the merits of Jesus Christ, as if they were not of force enough to save us.

Matt 27:4,5
Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

3. Impugn the known truth

To argue obstinately against known points of faith, or to prevent the way of our Lord by forging lies as done by many “so called priests”, when they teach ignorant people that worshipping alien gods is not a sin; saying there is no satan and not accepting the gifts of God such as tongues, translation etc.
Saying that masterbation and looking at a woman lustfully is not a sin. Disrespecting the Mother of God, as done by some protestant preachers. These “so called priests” are the real anti-christs.

Isiah 45:5
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

1 Corinthians 6:9,10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

4. Envy to another's spiritual good;

A sadness or repining at another's growth in virtue and perfection; such as sectaries seem to have when they scoff and are troubled at the frequent fasts, prayers, feasts, pilgrimages, alms-deeds, vows, and religious orders of the Catholic Church, calling them superstitious and fooleries, because they have not in their churches any such practices of piety.

5. Obstinacy in Sin

A willful persisting in wickedness, and running on from sin to sin, after sufficient instructions and admonition.

Hebrew 10:26,27
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

6. Final impenitence

To die without either confession or contrition for our sins, as those do of whom it is said, “With a hard neck, and with uncircumcised hearts and ears, you always resist the Holy Ghost.”

Acts 7:51
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Job 21: 14.
14. Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

Why is it said that those sins should never be forgiven, neither in this world, nor in the world to come? Not because there is no power in God or in the sacraments to remit them, if we confess them, and be sorry for them, (excepting only final impenitence) of which we read, “There is a sin to death for that I say not that any man ask.”
1 John 1:9. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and cleanse us from all iniquity.”
