பெருங்காற்றின் கொடிய புயல்
இதோ, கர்த்தருடைய பெருங்காற்றாகிய கொடிய புசல் புறப்பட்டது; அது துன்மார்க்கருடைய தலையின்மேல் உக்கிரமாய் மோதும்.
கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளை நடப்பித்து நிறைவேற்றுமளவும், அவருடைய கோபம் தணியாது; கடைசிநாட்களில் அதை நன்றாய் உணருவீர்கள். (எரேமியா 23:19, 20)
பட்சிக்கும் அக்கினியும் கன்மலையை நொறுக்கும் சம்மட்டியைப்போலும்

இரட்சிப்பை அருளும் தேவன்
நம்முடைய தேவன் இரட்சிப்பை அருளும் தேவனாயிருக்கிறார்; ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தரால் மரணத்திற்கு நீங்கும் வழிகளுண்டு.
மெய்யாகவே தேவன் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களின் சிரசையும், தன் அக்கிரமங்களில் துணிந்து நடக்கிறவனுடைய மயிருள்ள உச்சந்தலையையும் உடைப்பார்.
உன் கால்கள் சத்துருக்களின் இரத்தத்தில் பதியும்படியாகவும், உன் நாய்களின் நாவு அதை நக்கும்படியாகவும்,
என்னுடைய ஜனத்தைப் பாசானிலிருந்து திரும்ப அழைத்துவருவேன்; அதைச் சமுத்திர ஆழங்களிலிருந்தும் திரும்ப அழைத்துவருவேன் என்று ஆண்டவர் சொன்னார். (சங்கீதம் 68:20-23)
மனிதனுடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளையும், யோசனைகளையும் கண்டு உணர்பவர்.
தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையானது ஜீவனும் வல்லமையும் உள்ளதாயும், இருபுறமும் கருக்குள்ள எந்தப் பட்டயத்திலும் கருக்கானதாயும், ஆத்துமாவையும் ஆவியையும், கணுக்களையும் ஊனையும் பிரிக்கத்தக்கதாக உருவக் குத்துகிறதாயும், இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளையும் யோசனைகளையும் வகையறுக்கிறதாயும் இருக்கிறது. (எபிரேயர் 4:12)

தாம் அதைத் திருவசனத்தைக்கொண்டு தண்ணீர் முழுக்கினால் சுத்திகரித்து, பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிறதற்கும், கறைதிரை முதலானவைகள் ஒன்றும் இல்லாமல் பரிசுத்தமும் பிழையற்றதுமான மகிமையுள்ள சபையாக அதைத் தமக்குமுன் நிறுத்திக்கொள்வதற்கும் தம்மைத்தாமே அதற்காக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். (எபேசியர் 5:26, 27)
சிம்சோனும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியும்
அப்படியே சிம்சோனும் அவன் தாயும் தகப்பனும் திம்னாத்துக்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் திம்னாத் ஊர் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்கள்மட்டும் வந்தபோது, இதோ, கெர்ச்சிக்கிற பாலசிங்கம் ஒன்று அவனுக்கு எதிராக வந்தது.

தாவீதின் தேவனும், பெலிஸ்த்தியனுடைய தேவர்களும்
பெலிஸ்தன் தாவீதைப் பார்த்து: நீ தடிகளோடே என்னிடத்தில் வர நான் நாயா என்று சொல்லி, அவன் தன் தேவர்களைக்கொண்டு தாவீதைச் சபித்தான்.
பின்னும் அந்தப் பெலிஸ்தன் தாவீதைப் பார்த்து: என்னிடத்தில் வா; நான் உன் மாம்சத்தை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும் காட்டுமிருகங்களுக்கும் கொடுப்பேன் என்றான்.
அதற்குத் தாவீது: பெலிஸ்தனை நோக்கி: நீ பட்டயத்தோடும், ஈட்டியோடும், கேடகத்தோடும் என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறாய்; நானோ நீ நிந்தித்த இஸ்ரவேலுடைய இராணுவங்களின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்திலே உன்னிடத்தில் வருகிறேன்.
இன்றையதினம் கர்த்தர் உன்னை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்; நான் உன்னைக் கொன்று, உன் தலையை உன்னை விட்டு வாங்கி, பெலிஸ்தருடைய பாளயத்தின் பிணங்களை இன்றையதினம் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும், பூமியின் காட்டுமிருகங்களுக்கும் கொடுப்பேன்; அதனால் இஸ்ரவேலில் தேவன் ஒருவர் உண்டு என்று பூலோகத்தார் எல்லாரும் அறிந்துகொள்ளுவார்கள்.
கர்த்தர் பட்டயத்தினாலும் ஈட்டியினாலும் ரட்சிக்கிறவர் அல்ல என்று இந்த ஜனக்கூட்டமெல்லாம் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்; யுத்தம் கர்த்தருடையது; அவர் உங்களை எங்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார் என்றான்.
அப்பொழுது அந்தப் பெலிஸ்தன் எழும்பி, தாவீதுக்கு எதிராகக் கிட்டிவருகையில், தாவீது தீவிரமாய் அந்தச் சேனைக்கும் அந்தப் பெலிஸ்தனுக்கும் எதிராக ஓடி,
தன் கையை அடைப்பத்திலே போட்டு, அதிலிருந்து ஒரு கல்லை எடுத்து, கவணிலே வைத்துச் சுழற்றி, பெலிஸ்தனுடைய நெற்றியிலே பட எறிந்தான்; அந்தக் கல் அவன் நெற்றியில் பதிந்து போனதினால், அவன் தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தான்.
இவ்விதமாகத் தாவீது ஒரு கவணினாலும் ஒரு கல்லினாலும் பெலிஸ்தனை மேற்கொண்டு, அவனை மடங்கடித்து, அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; தாவீதின் கையில் பட்டயம் இல்லாதிருந்தது.

மகிமையின் ராஜா
யார் இந்த மகிமையின் ராஜா? அவர் வல்லமையும் பராக்கிரமுமுள்ள கர்த்தர்; அவர் யுத்தத்தில் பராக்கிரமுமுள்ள கர்த்தராமே. வாசல்களே, உங்கள் தலைகளை உயர்த்துங்கள்; அநாதி கதவுகளே, உயருங்கள்; மகிமையின் ராஜா உட்பிரவேசிப்பார். யார் இந்த மகிமையின் ராஜா? அவர் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தரானவர்; அவரே மகிமையின் ராஜா. விளக்கவுரை:
ஊழியக்காரர்களும், விசுவாசிகளும் சாத்தான் என்ற சத்துருவைப் பற்றிப் பயப்பட வேண்டியதில்லை. நம் ஆண்டவரோ சேனைகளின் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கின்றார். கோடான கோடி சம்மனசுகள், அவருடைய கட்டளைக்காக காத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.
மேலும், நான் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களை உமக்குப் பாதபடியாக்கிப்போடும்வரைக்கும் நீர் என்னுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் உட்காரும் என்று தூதர்களில் யாருக்காவது எப்போதாகிலும் அவர் சொன்னதுண்டா?

தமக்கு அறிவை உணர்த்தவும், தம்மை நியாயவழியிலே உபதேசிக்கவும் தமக்கு ஞானத்தைக் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கவும், தமக்கு விவேகத்தின்வழியை அறிவிக்கவும், அவர் யாரோடே ஆலோசனைபண்ணினார்?
இதோ, ஜாதிகள் ஏற்றச்சாலில் தொங்கும் துளிபோலவும், தராசிலே படியும் தூசிபோலவும் எண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள்; இதோ, தீவுகளை ஒரு அணுவைப்போல் தூக்குகிறார்.
லீபனோன் எரிக்கும் விறகுக்குப் போதாது; அதிலுள்ள மிருகஜீவன்கள் தகனபலிக்கும் போதாது.
சகல ஜாதிகளும் அவருக்கு முன்பாக ஒன்றுமில்லை, அவர்கள் சூனியத்தில் சூனியமாகவும், மாயையாகவும் எண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள்.

அவர் பூமி உருண்டையின்மேல் வீற்றிருக்கிறவர்; அதின் குடிகள் வெட்டுக்கிளிகளைப்போல இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர் வானங்களை மெல்லிய திரையாகப் பரப்பி, அவைகளைக் குடியிருக்கிறதற்கான கூடாரமாக விரிக்கிறார்.
அவர் பிரபுக்களை மாயையாக்கி, பூமியின் நியாயாதிபதிகளை அவாந்தரமாக்குகிறார்.
அவர்கள் திரும்ப நாட்டப்படுவதுமில்லை, விதைக்கப்படுவதுமில்லை; அவர்களுடைய அடிமரம் திரும்பப் பூமியிலே வேர்விடுவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள்மேல் அவர் ஊதவே பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; பெருங்காற்று அவர்களை ஒரு துரும்பைப்போல் அடித்துக்கொண்டுபோம்.
இப்படியிருக்க, என்னை யாருக்கு ஒப்பிடுவீர்கள்? எனக்கு யாரை நிகராக்குவீர்கள்? என்று பரிசுத்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
உங்கள் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவைகளைச் சிருஷ்டித்தவர் யார்? அவர் அவைகளின் சேனையை இலக்கத்திட்டமாகப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, அவைகளையெல்லாம் பேர்பேராக அழைக்கிறவராமே; அவருடைய மகா பெலத்தினாலும், அவருடைய மகா வல்லமையினாலும் அவைகளில் ஒன்றும் குறையாமலிருக்கிறது.
யாக்கோபே, இஸ்ரவேலே: என் வழி கர்த்தருக்கு மறைவாயிற்று என்றும், என் நியாயம் என் தேவனிடத்தில் எட்டாமல் போகிறது என்றும் நீ சொல்வானேன்?

Whirlwind
Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. (Jeremiah 23:19, 20)
Like fire and like a hammer which shatters a rock
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? (Jeremiah 23:29)
God of salvation
He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.
But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same. (Psalms 68:20-23)
God by His word, judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
By His word, God cleanses us from sins and make us holy
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:26, 27)
Samson and Spirit of God
Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. (Judges 14:5, 6)
O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? (Deuteronomy 3:24)

And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

King of Glory
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Psalms 24:8-10)
Thou shewest loving kindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name (Jeremiah 32:18)
Commentary:
The servants of God and the followers of Christ need not fear Satan the adversary. For our God is Lord of hosts. Myriads and myriads of angels are waiting to undertake the instructions of God.
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? (Hebrews 1:13)
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalms 91:11-16)
* He is a furious whirlwind, having the sword of the Spirit, and fire. He is like a hammer that break the rock in to pieces.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?
Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? (Isaiah 40:10-18)
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:22-31)
